How it works!

Laser works when the hair pigment (melanin) absorbs the heat from the laser, which then damages the follicle and inhibits regrowth. Darker hair is easier to treat since the laser targets the hair’s pigment. Extremely light blonde and red hair can be very successful with laser as well but hair reduction needs to be seen within the first three sessions (97% success rate with light blonde or red hair) or it is pointless to continue (this is why the consultation is key). The laser is unable to treat grey and white hair.

It takes a minimum of six treatments in to see long-lasting results, and treatments are spaced out a minimum of four weeks apart. Although you require several treatments for long-lasting results, you will see a difference with just one treatment. The reason for the monthly appointments is to ensure you are targeting all hair follicles in each stage of growth. Your aesthetician will go through a thorough consultation to ensure you are spacing out your treatments correctly according to several factors, such as health history.
